Secret Girlfriend (2009)

Secret Girlfriend, which aired on Comedy Central in late 2009, offers a unique twist on dating comedies by placing viewers in the role of the protagonist. Actors directly engage with the audience, creating a personalized experience in this satirical approach to love and relationships. Originally a web series, it was brought to television by creators Jay Rondot and Ross Novie, with Eric Weinberg serving as the showrunner. Each half-hour episode is split into two segments, running approximately eleven minutes each. Despite its innovative concept, the series was not renewed for a second season, as confirmed by Novie on Twitter in April 2010.
