Jake faces challenges with his first case upon returning to the precinct and unexpectedly meets Jess Day, who is in town. He recruits her assistance in tracking down his suspect. At the same time, Holt investigates methods to boost office morale, while Amy becomes curious about the reason behind Rosa's unusually long breaks.
